Day 4 of Lockdown (Cat and Bird)

" One cannot teach a cat not to catch birds.
Cat: If you expect me to learn all this, please make my lesson clear and easy to follow. Remember I learn best when I am having fun."

Today Luna turned up at our door to present us with a special gift she just caught. Really happy that she was so gentle with it and came straight to me and dropped the bird for me to see. I picked up the bird quickly to prevent Luna from biting it again. Tried calming down the bird by preparing a bed for it in a dark box with a bit of soft towel, a mesh to cover over the opening of the box. We got onto Mr Google to find out what type of bird it was. It has such beautiful face and bright colours. I just felt so bad for the poor little thing. Later we found out that it is a little Goldfinch originated from Europe. We kept her in the box for couple hours. We noticed the bird was moving around in the box and making a lot of sound. Picked it up and decided to set it free to find some food. I did not think it had the strength to fly away. However I placed the bird on top of the rubbish bin while keeping an eye out for Luna at the same time. I was so happy to say that it ruffled its feathers and flew to the nearest tree, after a few minutes, it flew out to the furthest tree down the road to the neighbours across the road. I thought her wings were clipped from Lunas bite, but happy to see that she still had wind beneath her wings. She flew away and I waved goodbye!
An extra pic of the moon.
