That's what friends are for...

Tonight I had two friends over and we talked a lot about this idea of "home" and why it's felt ao important to me lately. Though I may appear to be an extrovert, my dirty little secret is that I'm quite the introvert who can put on the extroverted mask as needed. Maybe because I'm also in a period of redefining, home becomes this sanctuary where I can just "be" without trying to be.

I do love sharing my home with others, hence cooking for friends twice this week. And to have friends who get you - Kate not only remembered my favorite decadent dessert, but traipsed across Istanbul just to pick it up! - makes eating dairy worth it! The best part? Sharing the deliciousness (not to mention the calories) alongside great conversation and laughter. I'm a lucky woman.
