Bahrain recorded 96 new cases, 0 fatalities and 99 recoveries today

Bahrain will return to the “yellow alert” level from today after implementing the orange level during Ashoora holiday.
The weekly report showed a slight drop in average number of new cases per day, which dropped from 119 during the previous week to 115 per day.
In total, 806 individuals tested positive for Covid-19 between August 12 and 18, 463 of whom are Bahraini and 343 are expatriates.
Local transmission accounted for 696 cases this week, while 110 travellers tested positive. Random community testing revealed 204 cases this week, while 183 positive cases emerged after having come in close contact with existing cases. A total of 199 individuals tested positive after becoming symptomatic, while another 110 tested positive after completing home quarantine.
