A BRIEF RESPITE

What a dismal, dark, drippy day today - not the "light showers" predicted on my weather forecast. However there was a brief lightening and brightening this afternoon, and I hope it coincided with the Hartlepool match where Markus Meerkat's boys were due to be mascots today.

Of course it was teeming down this morning when I had to take large sheets of cardboard to the recycling centre. I'm hoping for better weather tomorrow when I'm planning to make my front garden look slightly less devastated than the scaffolders left it before my expert-gardener sisters arrive on Monday.
