Red and purple…

as I inspect the place where the burn burst through last year and blocked the road for months. It was only a problem for the farmer as it was possible to walk an alternative route. It was the burn taking its original course. It is quite sandy ground here, but the Heather is still gloriously purple. Rain for a while in the morning gave way to a warm dry day.
