Jardí de Silenci

The day was spent working on our front room:  cleaning, sorting and chucking. When I say 'chucking', we put things on the streets and people pick them up if they can use them. This is what happens here and it seems to work. Bigger pieces go on the street one night a week, depending on your barrio, and ours is Thursday.

At night we were 'out out' with Nigel and Mireia. We met at the Jardí de Silenci in Gràcia, where Planteka was having a cutting/plant exchange and what a beautiful place it was! It's the gardens of what used to be a convent. I left with a handful of cuttings (all free as Mireia is a gardener and was known) and a birthday pressie of seeds for planting and we then went on for a drink somewhere. A lovely night with good friends.
