Splitting

Time to get to grips with the tree that fell down in the snow in spring and use the free electricity to fire up the 400V wood log splitter.

Alongside the April logs is the bottom section of the spruce that fell down a few weeks ago in the hail storm. I wanted to saw it into 33 cm long chunks again with the electric chainsaw, but discovered the oiling system to the chain is not working. Annoying. Need to speak to Amazon as it's not even 6 months old.

In the baking sun, the splitting was tiring work and I didn't get as much done as wanted. Had loads of admin stuff to do in the morning and been feeling a bit weak so packed up early. At least got something to do tomorrow when it will be even hotter.
