Lush nature

A drizzly morning on Essex Bridge.

No sign of the kingfisher, but it was certainly busy - and well overgrown. 

Dogs swimming to retrieve thrown balls.
Canal boat holidaymakers queuing for the locks.
Campers taking over fields.
And swathes of Himalayan Balsam dominating the nettles.

You can see why the Victorians loved this imported plant. Little did they suspect it would constantly try to take over.
