3-headed balloon bloom

A rare sighting of this brightly coloured bloom before it pops. Seen in the Lower Gardens on the way to lunch with E, his daughter and boyfriend, and G & N.

First went past the newish market outside Beales. Looked busy. Street food, ‘artisan’ bread, shell fish, odds and ends etc. Continued up to West Cliff, pleased to get away from the crowds.

Sat on the hotel terrace, me and N well protected from the sun by parasols. Enjoyed a vegan roast. They had 47 people for lunch, so a challenge for the staff (as hotel only opened a few days ago).

Turned into a lovely day. High pressure should keep it this way for a while
