Bristol Austin 7 Club and classic cars

A fantastic day out at Newark Park admiring Austin 7's and other classic cars.  These cars are lovingly restored and although many might look narrow to the modern eye one needs to remember that they didn't have crumple zones or seat belts and so they cannot be fitted.  They are not subject to mot after 40 years but they all seemed to have tool boxes and supplies stored near the driver's seat!  The Austin 7's spare tyre was kept in the boot and when opened a rack was available to store two suitcases.  What more could one need?  Apparently in the 1940s an Austin 7 could be picked up for £25 but now it might cost £8000.  However they will fit in most garages quite easily unlike todays cars.
My blip is of course a beautifully curved red Daimler I believe from the early 60's but I might be wrong.  I just loved the rounded bonnet, pronounced headlights and radiator grill.  Sheer bliss...
