The tufted vetch and poppies add colour to the verge of a wheat field.  After the rain yesterday and the thick haar this morning with mist for much of the day the moisture content of the wheat is probably too high for harvesting to start. Perhaps it’s still not ripe anyway but if the forecast for the next few days is correct maybe some fields will be ready, provided the haar which has descended this evening again clears.
