Clam Shells

Gulls are rather tenacious creatures as they sort out their food. The ring-billed gulls down at Bolsa Chica dig clams out of the mud of the estuary during low tide. They fly them across to the beach parking lot across PCH and drop them onto the concrete. Then they partake in their meal.

I am trying to catch the moment they drop the clam, but trust me, it's not easy! So today's blip are the shattered shells I picked up off the parking lot.
