EMBARKATION DAY 1

Woke with phone call from downstairs….my friend Clair….”I’m awake, I’m ready…can we go..can we go?”
We left home at 9…dropped Daisy off at Mums then headed off to Southampton. We made it in good time and met up with Linda easily. Unfortunately we were too early for our covid testing so went to IKEA for a cuppa then returned an hour later. …bit frustrating as there was now a long queue.
We pulled up alongside the Britannia…handed over the car keys and luggage…then had the anxious wait to get the all clear to go abroad…
#all negative…phew.
Our cabin is lovely with loads of space…
#we had a complimentary bottle of bubbly and chocs. Both opened immediately…unpacking can wait!!!
Had a light lunch (as it was 3 o’clock) and then a tour of the deck.
Back to our cabin for a cocktail. We had all taken the ingredients for a cabin cocktail each night….my turn this evening…mojito…went down well.
#Time to get dressed up for our
lovely dinner…..it was so tasty. We shared a table with 2 nice ladies and chatted and laughed a lot. Unfortunately it was a bit rushed as we had to get to the show.
#The Clockwork Circus….very enjoyable…great singing and dancing.
Then it was cocktail time in the Crows Nest….
#pina colada and a bedtime Baileys.
Cheese and biscuits at the buffet (because we could not because we needed it) …a long eventful happy day.
