All In All....

... It's just another brick in the wall.

2000 bricks and cement blocks arrived today. The delivery driver unloaded the lot with such skill and delicacy, I am sure he is a cardiac surgeon in his spare time. We were so pleased with his efficiency we donated a fiver to his drinking fund. He was very happy! So were we.
Then we started moving them from front to back. 500 down, 1500 to go. It was hot today, hope its a bit cooler tomorrow.
K, our elderly neighbour, seemed reasonably comfortable with the proposed works, which is good. We had expected fireworks but the planning team at the council are on our side so she would have been struggling to make a case for objections. Happily we didn't get that far. I'm all for a quiet life!
