If this ain't love, you'd better let me go

This little flower has taken 24 months to form. 

I planted the seeds in late Summer 2019.... and waited.  

In Summer 2020 - during the Great Lock Down of the Plague, I waited some more.  Little leaves appeared in the pot, and I waited some more. 

This year, the little leaves had multiplied and it looked like it may be viable. 

I planted the two most confident seedlings in the front garden, and have watched, less than impressed as one and then a second flower formed.  For three days - they have been colourless, personality less plants. 

Today - some colour came in to view and it now looks quite attractive, and underneath - some more buds. 

The beauty of this little flower is representative of what Himself and I have achieved, many, many years after staggering into each other in a drunken mess.    People looked at us and said, "Nah it won't work".  We looked at each other and said,  in the words of Huey Lewis, "This is it". 

And it has been. 

He is my lobster.
