Straight out of Compton (Acres)
Nottingham - as viewed from the carpark of a pub in Compton Acres - only taken with my snapshot, so not the finest picture of a decent view.
From the left the building with what looks like a cross/mast on top of it is the Newton building, part of the University campus; you may be able to see a large ferris wheel in slab square and a small dome which is the Town Hall on Slab Square; just to the right of that, is probably the tallest building in Notts, the Victoria Centre, shopping centre and flats; skipping a long way off to the right - the large chimney is the Incinerator near the oldest football club in the World (Notts County); and the white cross to the right of that is the Sneinton Windmill.
Missing behind the houses to the right are the famous sporting grounds, Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, The City Ground home to Nottingham Forest FC, and Meadow Lane, home to County.
I keep meaning to visit this spot at day/night to get a night shot, but am never passing through at the right time with the right camera.
