Route 66

I spotted these two vintage beauties up at the airfield this morning. They reminded me of classic American films - the plane like the crop duster from North By North West and the Harley like in so many productions. 

Then, thinking about the tune, Get Your Kicks on Route 66, this seemed to be a tribute to Charlie Watts. What a life he had. Saw the Stones several times and I loved his minimalist drum kit and pared down style. Nothing flamboyant - just enough.
