An easy hike
It was so wonderful to have the whole family and the girlfriends together last night. We had a lovely dinner, and before dinner I managed to take some photos of everyone outside the restaurant. Unfortunately the background street scene was not great with construction on the one side and parked cars on the other, but I was just happy to get photos of everyone. As any parent of young adults knows, we value any opportunity when they come home again and love spending time with them. I have added an extra of a collage I did from the dinner last night. Btw, Adam's hair is not so bad - it is a very short buzz cut as he was sick of his hair which was getting in his eyes, and with rugby training starting soon he wanted it short - and boy it sure is short!
Early this morning we took Tommy and Inca to the station - it was so sad to say goodbye! They flew back to London and are now on the road driving to the Lake District to join Inca's family on their holiday. I have added an extra of them at the station.
As expected it is cooler this week with low clouds and occasionally some sunshine. We decided not to do a very high walk today so we got the gondola up the mountain but got off at the middle station and walked across the mountain and down back to the village. Here are Gavin and Adam walking from the middle station. We stopped off for lunch at a mountain cafe on the way.
Back in the village we went grocery shopping - there was quite a bit to buy for all of us now. The men played golf later in the afternoon and we are now about to enjoy dinner at home cooked by Meriel.
