Moths and Goths

With the prospect of a dry-ish night, the moth trap went out, and I was rewarded with some nice captures, including this one which is a Feathered Gothic. It turned out to be very rare in my neck of the woods, with only one record within a 10k square in 1961. As its food plant is grasses, I'd like to think its presence is down to the wild grasses seeds we sowed last year. there's another one in extras - a Coxcomb Prominent.
We met up with a good friend whom we hadn't seen since pre-pandemic, and had a pleasant walk followed by a lovely pub meal. All in all, a very nice day.
