flummoxed

Graham Place, Stromness has me flummoxed.

From where I took this photo it appears to look like any other attractive lane leading down to the 'main' street through Stromness, with the famous Hamnavoe Restaurant at the bottom. 

But no! There is so much more to Graham Place. 
The problem is I'm not even sure how much more.
There are separately named alleyways and twisting lanes. Steps and slopes and dark passages.


Met D for a coffee. She is up for a few days from London. Sobering talk of the strains the NHS is under. I feel lucky that my day to day work worries are generally only about finding addresses.
