Goldfinch ...

... American goldfinch, that is--most likely a juvenile, perhaps with a seed in its beak (a distant shot at noon from our front porch).   Amidst purple flowers at the corner of our neighbor's house--they may be a species of purple salvia.  It was cloudy at the moment,  with variable clouds during a very hot but not uncomfortable day. 

At the Cincinnati Southern and Western Open tennis tournament we watched Andy Murray  (Sir Andrew, that is) of Scotland  play  Frances Tiafoe of the USA; Tiafoe won in two sets.
