Embarrasing

Not sure how I managed to delete all today's photos on my mobile phone and have only been able to rescue myself by taking a screenshot of a video of this evening's dog walk that I had posted on Twitter!

A pretty miserable cold day but at least mainly dry, Set off for the walk in lovely sunshine with lots of farmers seemingly making the last hay as tomorrow is due to be relatively sunny but still "too cold for the time of year". All weather forecasts are using autumnal phrases now,

One sign is that from September, the work in the forests starts. The State forest around our house has been marked up with those trees that are to be felled. Judging from the past they will be felled by hand, I suspect to show the new forestry apprentices the basics. Now is the time almost all school-leavers start their apprenticeships.

The photo was taken in the Parish owned forest where contractors work, so machines are the method of choice..
