Called for attention

On my post-work (much of it in zoom meetings) run I heard Tui in many places. This one called only briefly and almost looked to be posing as I approached to within 10 metres. It then began a display of feeding on the nectar of a non-native tree. Tui don't know or care whether a tree is native to New Zealand or an import, as long is there is nectar or cover or whatever the bird needs.
