Eden Springs Country Park
Eden Springs Country Park opened quietly on the 14th August. The entrance is located about half a mile, north of Melville Lodges Roundabout on the A92 heading to the Tay Bridge.
Mr and Mrs Dog met us there along with Mrs Dog’s sister, Helen and her husband Eric.
Eden Springs Country Park, in its first phase is primarily a Fishery with a path of about 4000 steps around the perimeter.
It occupies a series of former sand and gravel quarries not so far from Birnie and Gadden Nature Reserve.
The footpath is about to receive its "surface" however we walked around in normal shoes with little trouble. The last quarter of the route is through fields with flocks of sheep which is interesting.
There are already several spots around the fishery Loch equipped with picnic tables with fine views over the water.
Other lochs will be opened the spring for boating and more fishing. Today’s Blipfoto is of the Fishery Loch.
We returned to The Policies and enjoyed a very fine lunch prepared by Pat. I then gave Eric and Helen a guided tour around our place.
According to a report from Mrs Dog E & H "we’re impressed and overwhelmed with what Pat and I had achieved"
It must be down to my volunteer experience gained with NTS!.
