A special day

Not a special day because we changed our broadband supplier today, although it's a relief to be posting this blip and not having to resort to back blipping tomorrow or the day after. 
No, today was special because of a moment with the local swan family. As I've said previously this pair started out with 7 cygnets but lost one early on. I think that because of this they have been rather defensive, especially dad.
 However as I was out by the river earlier I saw them near the opposite bank and while I was looking dad turned and started cruising towards me. I was expecting a wing flap and a hiss but then the rest of the family fell in behind dad and they all came up to the bank close to my feet. It seemed that mum and dad wanted to show the kids off. 
We spent about 10 minutes chilling   together until dad got bored and led them off down river. It felt a bit special, as if we'd bonded. That's what the romantic in me wants to believe, although it could just be that some other human has been feeding them. I'm sticking with the former theory.
