I nipped down to the plot after work today to pick some of the vegetables that have been growing. There were some bigger bits of beetroot but some of the plants that had very big stalks only had a wee tiny thing at the end! My friend showed me a way of steaming broccoli using a sieve over boiling water so I might try growing that next year.
