A Nice Day with Mom

We played word games until she fell asleep half way through. So I did some grading while she napped and then we finished up the word games and had a nice lunch. Time slips by so quickly, although the days I know are slow for her. Very precious times indeed. 

I spent the afternoon talking with a volunteer who's going to help me a bit with admin stuff for the botanical garden (thank goodness!). And then more grading. I grabbed a shot of my huge patch of Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullvantii 'Goldsturm' or simply Goldsturm Black Eyed Susan...it reseeds itself everywhere so is a bit of a nuisance and probably really belongs in a field somewhere...but it sure is stunning isn't it?
