Gimchi Bokumbap

Gimchi (kimchi) bokumbap or in English Gimchi fried rice. I really wasn't in the mood for Chinese food tonight so I went Korean.

Gimchi is spicy pickled cabbage and is well and truly the national dish of (South) Korea . Koreans eat it as a side dish for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pizza Hut has adjust its menu to include Gimchi as a standard side dish. Korean families can even buy special full size gimchi refrigerator. The milk and veg are stored in the normal fridge.

If you've never tried gimchi bokumbap it's rather tasty and if you live in London, New Malden is the UK's biggest Korea town. Tomorrow, I think I'll have Chinese Hot Pot - this dish is nothing at all like the famed Lancashire Hot Pot. Maybe i'll blip it.
