My brother finally managed to get a day off for the first time in weeks so I treated him to brunch at our local, The Chequers. We had a Full English breakfast washed down with a couple of pints sitting on the terrace overlooking the River Medway. Lovely!
Watched a great programme on Sky Arts today called Burning Man: Art On Fire. It is a documentary offering insight into the spectacular art at the centre of the Burning Man festival, held at the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. It showed the artists designing and constructing the main structures in what has been called a "temporary city of dreams" before they are set alight and destroyed at the end of the festival. Truly jaw dropping!
Today's blip is another road sign - or should that be wall sign - which I captured on the way back from the pub. Maybe the two pints made me think this was a good image for a blip! Apparently it is a fire hydrant sign - the number at the top indicates the size of the water main in millimetres and the number at the bottom confirms how far the hydrant is from the sign in metres. Fun sign facts folks!
