Still cloudy

It rained 17 millimetres at night, but luckily it ended at about 8 am. That makes 176 millimetres in August (so far) and 205 millimetres in 30 days. It took surprisingly long before it really started showing on the ground, but now the soil surface is totally soaked. A little shower in the forecast for tonight, but luckily no rain six days after that. I'll get the combine tomorrow, but I'm not sure I can start harvesting right away.

While we had a lot of rain, just 20 kilometres west in Hämeenkyrö they got a lot more. Last night there was over 20 cm of water on Highway 3, water flooding into the basements of 30 houses and a sewer pipe broken.
