St Pauls Ryhope

The church was built 1868 -1873 to cater for the growing population of Ryhope, and replaced a smaller church on The Green, which had been built in 1826 as a chapel of ease to St. Michael's Church in Bishopwearmouth. The church is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
Dearest was born within the sound of its bells, was schooled, christened, married in its bosom, 1st time I visited today, what a lovely place.
