Sheep crossing

It is so Joburg, to be in an industrial area to have traffic cone to a standstill because of a small flock of sheep wandering across the road.

Three of us traveled to the East Rand to meet up with partners in the clothing industry, as we anticipate the awarding of a large tender that will bring in some nice dos and manufacturing opportunities for companies owned by people with disabilities over the next 5 years. We should know the detail by Tuesday.

New project underway now with bulletproof jackets. Nothing new about them I hear you say, only there are different. They are designed as fashion wear so not obvious that they are what they are. Confused? Well I was too when it was explained that if it's obvious that body armour is being worn, the head becomes the target.

What a world we live in!!!

The upside of the visit was that we met at Dario’s eatery where he prepares home-cooked Italian food for the frozen meal market. The pizza was outstanding, and the ravioli the best I have eaten.

We still went to Doppio’s for supper but it was a wee starter for me as another great looking pizza was consumed by Arnie.
