Rose Petals

Excited to find a street planting of young cycads with small delicate blossoms - until Mr SF pointed out that cycads have cones, not flowers. On closer inspection the flowers were at the end of pale weedy stems.

On the way home I’d splashed out on a whole lemon polenta cake. Hey, it’s Friday - plus I finally managed to get a travel permit. Now loving the IT guy.

The baker confirmed that the red scatters are dried rose petals.
