Magnolia……

Today is Day 10 of Level Four Lockdown. The government has decided that most of the country will move down to Level Three next Tuesday at 11.59pm. Auckland and Northland will remain in Level Four for a further week because almost all active cases of COVID-19 are in those areas. 77 new cases in Auckland today and now a total of 437 cases. Scary. The Delta variant is incredibly contagious.
Maisie and I walked a little later this morning…… in daylight…. In the rain. Three young Magnolias are growing as a group in the Taylor River Reserve. They have burst into bloom and the flowers are a beautiful shades of white and cream. The flowers are fragrant too…. A bonus. Heavy rain is predicted for this weekend. It will be an anxious time for those folk living in the Marlborough Sounds. We do not want anymore storm damage to land, properties and roading. Enough is enough!
