Snake's Head Fritillary

Definitely not a day to be going out anywhere so having just received an adapter enabling Leica lenses to be used on the Olympus EM-5 I fitted the 90mm for a test shot. The 4/3 sensor converts the 90mm to a very handy 180mm equivalent to full frame. Although most of the cameras functions are retained focussing is of course manual only. This was only a very quick rough test but the results were promising.

These Snake's head Fritillary's are destined for the garden as soon as the weather allows so made a handy subject to photograph inside the light tent using natural light. I love the shape and patterns of the flower heads so expect some close up's shortly.
