Time frame

A detail of one of the many old timber-framed buildings around town - I guess the building is probably three or four hundred years old, and the tree (I'm assuming it's an oak) was presumably fairly old itself at the point when it was felled and turned into a house, so the cumulative history here spans an impressive stretch of time.
