Time and Tide

We've got them both wrong.
The big waves are in the morning at low tide.

The Perseids shower has been and gone (miss-timed that one too)
We nevertheless stayed up late in the garden, turning our backs on the low light haze of Bayonne and Biarritz.  The sky was dark and the moon wasn't yet up.  Nico gets competitive with shooting stars.  he sees ten to my one.  I asked him how many wishes can a person make and suggested that quality is better than quantity.
Late nights along with being in a constant catatonic state do not result in early mornings.
The surfer we met crossing the dunes said we'd have to be on the beach by 11 a.m to catch the good waves and I was shaken out of my torpor.
