This guy was in front of me at the checkout and he was delighted when I asked if I could take a photo of his tattoo. He explained that he had designed it himself, all of his other tattoos, and told me that it had been done by a shop in Staplehurst. He explained that the technique for filling the shapes was like stamping each dot rather than the filling-in one usually sees on filled shapes; he said that it was particularly painful.

I went to Big Tesco but there were lots of gaps - especially in the freezers. Many have labels showing when they expect to be replenished and some were a few weeks away. I got one of the last bags of frozen peas and I'll have to wait until 18/09 for a tin of sardines in tomato sauce.
