A Common Blue
JJ and I walked around the edge of the big field, up to Tithe Farm, down the road, along the old railway line and along the other side of the field. We saw kites, buzzards and lots of difference species of butterflies, which is very heartening.
I have since mapped out the field on Ordnance Survey and its circumference is almost two and a half miles and the whole walk was only just over three and a half miles. It still took us nearly two hours because of all my dawdling.
I was pleased to see a few common blue butterflies and amazed how well this one came out with the telephoto lens.
