The Hatchling
The Hatchling came to Plymouth today. It is a dragon with folded wings wandering through the city centre carried by ten strong people who interchange quite often. Last seen by me it was heading up to the Hoe and will be there tomorrow until it flies out over the sea between 1930 and 21.00. It was designed by the people who were involved with the War Horse horses and indeed carried by some of the same people. Apparently there are 36 bearers involved, ten all the time today going up to 14 tomorrow.
I will watch its flight from Millbay dock!
