Here We Go Again!

With last week’s game on the opening weekend of the season postponed due to some of the players having Covid, today saw Yeovil’s first game of the season at home to Kings Lynn. The blip shows the teams taking part in a minutes applause in appreciation of an ex-player who passed away last week.

As for the game, it was the same old story with Yeovil managing to shoot themselves in the foot, as we have so often in recent seasons. Having taken the lead with a cracking shot, somewhat against the run of play, one of our players got himself sent off for a reckless tackle, leaving us to play 50 minutes with just ten men.

We defended valiantly but conceded the equaliser after 70 minutes and then the winner with just 5 minutes to go. Kings Lynn would have been disappointed if they hadn’t won, having had most of the play, but a point would have been just reward for our effort. Once again, , we found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!

We managed our 40th park run this morning in dry conditions, with all of us improving on last week’s times.
