Bristol Skyline

Mum has a small flat in an old people’s care facility in Bristol. This lunchtime I made a picnic and we took it up to the communal roof terrace. It was beautifully warm when the sun broke through. The view across Bristol includes the Clifton Suspension Bridge and this row of colourful terraced houses. Later we met with my nephew who at 16 feels like he is just emerging into the wider world, full of energy, of his first camping holiday with friends and the excitement of starting a new school to do his A levels. He suddenly struck me as a personable young man. I wish I had thought to take a picture of him
