Mist and Mauve

I drove up on to Cannock Chase first thing.  It's the time of year when the heather is in flower and I hoped to capture it in all of its beauty.  For whatever reason the light wasn't showing it off at its best, but it was still quite dramatic with the mist lying in the valley and cloud above the rising sun.

This was a stitched image, made up of 6 images.  To control the highlights, I used a 3 stop reverse grad filter above the horizon line.
