Sheltering
Oh gawd - its snowing again and me and my mate are hoping the bough upon which we are perching doth not break - the wind is whipping us round and Harebrain is looking at us through the window and wondering how we will survive this awful weather again today.
HareBrain here and I was supposed to be going to see my nice Heart Consultant early this morning in the big hospital at Stoke on Trent, so last night Mr. T set the alarm for early , but I thought 2am was a bit too early .....!! woke up with a start and then slept uneasily in case I didn't wake up when the newly set alarm went off at the new reasonable hour of 6.30ish but I did only to find we had had a thick fall of snow in the night and it was still snowing hard. The local radio was telling us that the roads to S-on-T were bad and there were jack knifed lorries not far away so I decided not to risk it. Co-incidentally my last appointment with my nice heart man was in January when the hospital rang to cancel my appointment then, because of the heavy snowfall.
On a serious note we are hearing the very sad news of a death in Cornwall today due to a collapsed building and terrible flooding in alot of areas. My heart goes out to you all.
