Who did this?

Ten houses, including us, live within the village limits but have a 60mph speed limit on the country road running into the village. There are no pavements for us to walk on. The speed limit nearer the village centre decreases to 40mph and then 30mph.

Over the years we have tried to get the speed limit reduced but with no luck. But a few weeks ago someone finally made a visible protest. Who? Nobody knows! The Parish Council is very cross as cleaning up or replacing the damaged sign will cost money.
