Happy/Sad

Today was my last day working for Glasgow City Council. The past three years of my working life have been a whole roller coaster of exciting projects, being thrown in at the deep end, new ways of working, new friends, new contacts, good times and a few bad times thrown in for good measure. Like I said in my mini speech today though, I've learnt so, so much and there's no way I'd be in the position I am now if it wasn't for my time at the Council.

Today's blip is me and my now old boss Chris Dalrymple. What a guy - family man extraordinaire (four kids!), former proffesional footballer (Dumbarton FC), environmental health officer, manager, part of the reason why Glasgow is hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2014, comedian and all round fantastic guy.

Chris has been such a fantastic boss - like I said here, exerting just the right amount of management with a healthy dose of support. I think we've done some great work over the past three years and I will most definitely miss working together. I'm literally just up the road in my new job so I'm sure I'll be seeing plenty of Chris and all my other Cooncil work buddies.
