Donner & Blitzen
What a miserable cold wet day it was! Nothing of any interest to report. At around 19:30 the sun was suddenly shining so had no more excuse for not going with Luna for the evening walk.
Unloaded her from the car in sunshine and was convinced the black clouds in the 75% of the sky were simply menacing but harmless. Within a minute heard the first thunderclap! Luna stopped in her tracks, I kept going, but after 150 metres or so heard a tractor mowing fresh grass to feed the cows in a stable and knew the tractor would then travel back on the path Luna was lying down on.
Had no alternative but to return to her and luckily as the farmer did exactly what I thought and drove past, very slowly, Luna thinking it was doing so to give her shelter despite the cutting blades being exposed and still revolving! I don't like shouting at her, but I did!
As always she was right, the thunder & lightning came, and it poured again. I simply don't understand how we can have these storms following days of cold weather.
It was very dark taking the photo, which explains the quality, but the tractor looked good in the few rays left of the sunset between all the dark clouds.
