Charter Day

A day to celebrate the town charter of Topsham - up early for paper and pastries; sun was out again - lovely lunch and then a wander as the Shanty Men sang, church bells rang; a market filled Fore St. Watched sport, then out to the Passage House Inn for a nice final meal of the holiday; then a walk along the Strand to the Goat Walk; back for the evening band on the quay - sadly the swing band had to cancel due to COVID, so we got reggae - cue the same bass line for 2 hours and the guitarist going 'ching, ching, ching' on the off beat... a lovely atmosphere. Sad to be going home tomorrow.
