Tortoiseshell.

An overcast morning and that was how it was supposed to be for the day but later on we got sunshine so a nice surprise.  Out in the garden early photographing but in a fit of stupidity I deleted everything by accident and didn't realise until much later.
I was pleased all my chores got done even though I was distracted by camera problems and trying to make decisions about going mirrorless.  My picture hooks arrived to distract me and were useless. I have impenetratable walls in places and the nails simply bent.  Luckily I had bought some steel stick on hooks so gave them a go.  My goodness do they stick.  I wanted to move one and even though it had only been on for a second it wouldn't move.  Eventually came off and took the paint with it.  How I hate hanging pictures. Two got done and I've left the remaining two for another day.
Made some tea and ate too many biscuits while I read reviews and counted my money and eventually bit the bullet.  Bought a Canon R6 and a mount adapter so I can use my present lenses until I decide which  new ones to buy.  As always the bank blocked the purchase and then an automated call came to check it wasn't fraud. Had to buy again and the sale went through that time.  I'll have to get to grips with it before going to Galloway in October.
Went out hoping for butterflies and there still were some.  A very flighty tortoiseshell who looked beautiful in the late afternoon light.   Made my day.
