Hanging On

This Autumn Meadowhawk was so cooperative posing for me and didn't seem to be bothered at all by my camera.  In the extra, my lens was only inches away and he seemed to be looking up at me so I invited him onto my finger.  He climbed on readily but I made the mistake of putting out my right hand.  I had to fumble to get my left hand into position on the camera while he sat patiently waiting.  I took several shots and it wasn't until I finished shooting that he flew away.  I am grateful for the happy experience. :-))
